Observations
- I was out and away from the radio in the middle part of the evening but returned to find a great signal from Blauwe Koe on 1631 kHz, and when he closed down Concorde came up with a programme on 1635 before moving 10 kHz up the band. This station runs only 40 watts of power and the signal here if often pretty low making it difficult to hear a great deal. However, tonight reception was significantly better than usual and it was possible to hear and understand speech and the various greetings to me!

- Pandora can usually be heard on 1625 kHz but this afternoon he was testing on 1635 as the regular channel is out of bounds due to a strong utility station operating on 1624. There has been speculation about where this is coming from, including this on the Ukrainian Dx Blog site.

- Casablanca from Emmen, who has been on air for over 40 years and not to be confused with the station from Twente with the same name, was busy testing tonight. He was trying out a new transmitter and modulator, and with great results - the signal and modulation quality was very good. Welcome back to the band with your new and improved sound!
- I spent a good while listening to Marianne on 1625 with his regular weekly Tuesday evening programme. As ever, this signal at this side was very good and with strong, punchy audio.

Observations
- Some interesting catches this evening, including a test transmission from Kachelboer on 1670 kHz. The famous voice behind the microphone has used various names down the years - when I first heard him he was the Piepzender. In more recent years he has been the Bluestar. The signal over here was pretty good and it was great to hear the station back on MW.
- Romax popped up on his regular channel of 1636 kHz to play a few records during the late evening. The 'Stem van de Achterhoek' was coming in loud and clear.
- It had been a while since I'd heard Napoleon but I caught him briefly tonight on 1629 kHz for what appeared to be a short test. With his soothing voice, it's always a pleasure to listen to Nappie.

- There was a new name for me this evening when Tornado came up on 1620 kHz with a report for Pontiac. I managed to get in touch with the station operator who was pleased to receive his first report from overseas. He has been active for some while but usually with around 50 watts. Tonight he was running a little more power and coming in with a fair signal across the water.
